My AI Vault ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal document vault application developed by Consulting Cadets. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We do NOT store your documents. All document files remain in your personal Google Drive account. My AI Vault only stores:
We use Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We do not store your Google password.
We request access to your Google Drive to create a "myaivault" folder and upload documents you choose to save. We only access files within the myaivault folder. We cannot access your other Google Drive files.
When you upload a document, it may be sent to an AI service (Groq) for automatic classification. The image is processed in real-time and is not stored by the AI service or by us. The AI returns only a suggested category, title, and expiry date — not the document content.
Document metadata is stored in Supabase (our database provider) with row-level security. Each user can only access their own data. Our database servers are hosted in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
The app requests camera and photo library access solely to allow you to scan or upload documents. Photos and scans are uploaded directly to your Google Drive. We do not store them on our servers.
If you enable biometric lock (fingerprint or face unlock), the authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect, store, or transmit any biometric data.
You can delete any document from within the app at any time. This removes the metadata from our database. The file in your Google Drive can be deleted separately from Google Drive.

My AI Vault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have different data protection laws.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
