Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using My AI Vault ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

My AI Vault is a personal document vault application that helps you organize, categorize, and retrieve important documents. The app stores document metadata (titles, categories, expiry dates) in our database and uploads document files to your personal Google Drive account.

3. Account & Authentication

You must sign in with a Google account to use the app. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Your Data & Storage

Your files are stored in your Google Drive. We do not host, store, or have access to your actual document files. We only store metadata (title, category, expiry date, tags) in our database to enable search and organization.

You retain full ownership of all documents you upload. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

5. AI Classification

The app may use artificial intelligence to suggest document categories, titles, and expiry dates. These suggestions are:

• Provided as-is, without guarantee of accuracy
• Always editable by you before saving
• Processed in real-time and not stored by the AI service

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-suggested information, especially expiry dates.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that violates any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use automated systems to access the app in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure

7. Google Drive Integration

The app requires access to your Google Drive to store documents. By using the app, you:

• Authorize us to create a "myaivault" folder in your Google Drive
• Authorize us to upload files to and read files from that folder
• Acknowledge that Google Drive's terms of service also apply to your stored files

You can revoke Drive access at any time through your Google Account settings.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the app available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance or updates
• Third-party service outages (Google, Supabase)
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any loss of data, documents, or access
• We are not liable for any consequences of expired or incorrect document information
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (which is $0 for the free tier)

10. Data Deletion

You can delete individual documents from within the app at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated metadata, contact us at hello@consultingcadets.com.

Deleting your account removes all metadata from our database. Files in your Google Drive must be deleted separately by you.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and requesting account deletion.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
